Joseph Campbell coined the term "Hero's Journey" in his book The Hero with a Thousand Faces, in which he traced the journey of the archetypal hero through the mythologies of cultures around the world, illustrating their common themes and universality. The Hero's Journey is the universal journey through which the soul seeks wholeness. It is a journey that takes place on both inner and outer levels: social, psychological and spiritual. In this series we will focus mostly on the soul's journey through the archetypal stages depicted in Campbell's work.

Exploring Spirit is a weekly gathering consisting of a brief introduction of the weekly topic, open discussion, followed by cleansing passes administered by the healing staff. Refreshments are served after the gathering. Take advantage of this opportunity to build continuity, depth and community as you enrich your personal spiritual journey. John of God Movie Night: with Susie Verde and Gurudev Khalsa. Come watch one of the latest movies documenting the amazing work of the Brazilian medium healer known as "John of God." For over 40 years, John of God has been a vehicle by which saints and doctors from the astral plane have incorporated to offer healing to those who come sincerely seeking. After the movie, there will be time for questions and stories, including those of your hosts, Susie Verde (who was healed of breast cancer) and Gurudev Khalsa (who was healed of a heart condition). Starting Tuesday June 15 (see details below), they will be bringing their popular weekly John of God meditation circle to The Caritas Spiritist Center.

Introduction to EFT, "The Tapping Therapy" with Carole Lindroos, MA, LPC. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is based on the premise that when our energy is flowing normally, without obstruction, we feel good in every way. When our energy becomes blocked, stagnant or otherwise disrupted along one or more of the body's energy meridians, all types of physical and emotional symptoms appear. EFT is called the emotional acupressure because it combines gentle tapping on key meridian points while focusing your thoughts on pain, unhappy memories, uncomfortable emotions, stressful events, food cravings or any other distressful circumstance. This is a tool that takes only a few minutes, yet has powerful results. Carole will teach the "basic recipe" for EFT on Thursday and you will have "hands on" opportunities at the introductory class to tap to enhance your wellness. She prefers that everyone takes her introductory class before they attend the Saturday workshop, at which you will be learning more, tapping, using shortcuts, the choices method and do several demos.

Healing Childhood Abuse & Neglect: with Jasmin Cori, MS, LPC. Healing from childhood abuse and neglect is a hero's journey. Learn about the imprints left by these early circumstances and what can support healing. John of God Weekly Meditation Circle:For the past two years at another location, Susie Verde and Gurudev Khalsa have led this popular weekly meditation modeled after the work in the “current room” of the Casa De Dom Inácio, the spiritual hospital of John of God in Abadiânia, Brazil. By inviting the Entities of the Casa to join us, deep and profound healing is possible right here! You will leave refreshed and renewed, by the meditation and the meeting with like-minded, life-affirming souls. Life Force: the Science of Subtle Energy: with Claude Swanson, PhD. Physicist Claude Swanson will be discussing his new book, Life Force: the Scientific Basis, Vol. II of The Synchronized Universe. It covers the physics of energy medicine, healing, chi and quantum consciousness. It explains the new science behind QiGong, long range energy healing, the Russian torsion physics discoveries, and a scientific explanation for the aura. Explains the nature of sacred sites and earth energies, as well as our connection to higher dimensions: the unification of science and spirituality. This experiential and didactic workshop will cover the key concepts of the HeartMath System used by individuals, schools, NASA, Olympic Teams, Fortune 500 companies, and the US Army. Participants will learn and experience two of the HeartMath tools to create peace through heart coherence, tips for heart-based living, as well as discover how to become part of the Global Coherence Initiative.

Using Dreams and Astrology for Psychospiritual Growth: with Connie Wolfe, PhD. Using visual media, Dr. Wolfe will the transiting astrological planetary fields, especially that of Jupiter, and how it relates to symbolism in dreams. Jupiter has a 12-year cycle and represents cycles of growth, especially regarding the spiritual dimension. Dr. Wolfe's research has shown a correlation between major life events, Jupiter Cycles, and symbolism in dreams. By using the timing of astrological cycles we can make better use of Intention for understanding life events and making desired changes in our attitudes and behavior. We can grow! Dreamwork Meetup Group with Gloria Coelho. Carl Jung wrote that the two most important points of dreamwork are:
1. Changing your own heart
2. Individuation: the lifelong process of becoming whole. Dreamwork is an effective
tool to aid this process.
Since dreams are best worked in a group (that many more insights!), we meet once a month to share dreams with one another and explore their wisdom.

Using Masks for Personal and Planetary Transformation: International workshop facilitator/focalisersSandra Hughes and Michael Hickey invite participants to combine masks with movement, meditation and mask-making to focus energies and intentions that support personal growth and inspired action. This workshop has been presented by invitation in partnership with staff members from the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland for the Findhorn Community - a United Nation's training center for planetary sustainability as well as for intentional communities such as the award-winning Eastlake Commons co-housing community in Atlanta, Georgia. No previous movement, meditation or visual art experience is required or necessary. The workshop is sponsored by the Caritas Spiritis Center, the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine, the Turning Point Healing Center and Gateway Performance Productions.
