February Highlights

  • The February theme for our Exploring Spirit weekly gathering is Evidence of the Shift. People in many different fields are talking about "The Shift" - a shift in individual and collective human consciousness that will generate an evolutionary leap in spiritual and social awareness throughout humanity. Is this a fairy tale? Wishful thinking? A way of distracting ourselves away from the serious personal, national and international issues that plague our human condition? Or is it, as many ancient cultures prophesied, the birth of a new human: "homo luminus?" This month we will be exploring evidence of this Shift in the areas of science, philosophy, spirituality and even politics. Join us as we discuss this important time in history.

Exploring Spirit is a weekly gathering consisting of a brief introduction of the weekly topic, open discussion, followed by cleansing passes administered by the healing staff. Refreshments are served after the gathering. Take advantage of this opportunity to build continuity, depth and community as you enrich your personal spiritual journey. This weekly gathering is open to all and always FREE.

Every Monday from 6 to 7:30 PM.

  • Tai Chi Class: Greg Adelman teaches a weekly, drop-in class in which students learn:
    • The first 3rd of the Chen Man Ching's Short Form
    • Warm up and breathing exercises
    • Qi Gong exercises
    • Introduction to Push Hands (interactive Tai Chi)

    Tuesdays, noon - 1 PM $5 donation

  • A Course in Miracles for Die-Hards: This is a drop-in class for people who have already studied A Course in Miracles in the traditional, sequential way and are looking for a less formalized approach for deepening their understanding. We will be starting a new class in A Course in Miracles for beginning and advanced students using the traditional method, in June.

    Tuesdays, 3 - 4:30 PM $5 donation

  • Healing Movements and the Family Soul with Jan Rupp. This work is a quiet, deceptively simple, yet profound approach enabling us to identify the very roots of our being—our families, ancestors and the hidden dynamics that both support AND bind us, and thereby allowing us to be more fully whole. Please come and explore "Who you really are."

    Friday, February 5, 7 - 9:30 PM. $20

  • Spirituality of Illness A lecture by Nancy Trottner. The experience of being seriously or chronically ill impacts us in multiple ways. Our relationships, our priorities, our beliefs all begin to be called into question. Such a time is often a turning point. It can become an opportunity to live more deeply. This workshop will provide several approaches (story, art, myth, dreams) for exploring deeper meanings as we live with illness. Nancy is a psychotherapist, spiritual director, Reiki practitioner and dream worker with expertise as a Hospice nurse, in pastoral care, and private practice as a spiritual mid-wife. Visit her website at: www.sacred-works.com

    Friday, February 12, 7 - 9 PM Love donation

  • Remote Viewing Club: Remote viewing instructors Mike & Susan Van Atta begin a monthly gathering for those interested in remote viewing, a technique for accessing higher vibrational levels, projecting your consciousness out of body to see, feel and perceive objects remote in time and space, and more.

    Thursday, February 18, 7 - 9 PM $10

  • Dreamwork Meetup Group with Gloria Coelho. Since dreams are best worked in a group (that many more insights!), we will be meeting once a month to share dreams with one another and explore their wisdom. Carl Jung wrote that the two most important points of dreamwork are:

    • Changing your own heart
    • Individuation: the lifelong process of becoming whole. Dreamwork is an effective tool to aid this process.
    • Friday, February 19, 6:30 - 8:30 PM $10

  • Hellinger Monthly Film Series, Part 1: Healing and the Family Soul: A 6-month educational series on the beautiful healing work of Bert Hellinger. Each month we will watch a Hellinger video on a particular theme, followed by a discussion of the principles or natural laws that have emerged from the Hellinger Constellations. Local Hellinger facilitators Jan Rupp and Camilla Rees will lead the discussion. The first Hellinger film night will feature the video "Healing and the Family Soul."

    Friday, February 26, 7 PM. $10 donation

  • Sound Healing with Gary Fisman. Experience the transformational tones and healing power of Tibetan bowls, planetary gongs harmonically tuned to resonate with the cosmic cycles, and didgeridoos all vibrating together in a cosmic harmony. Please bring a blanket or air mattress to lie on.

    Saturday, February 27, 6 - 7:30 PM $20

  • Spiritist Healing Sessions available by appointment - always free of charge, in keeping with Spiritist philosophy. Just call to schedule. 303-449-3066.

The Caritas Spiritist Center is a nonprofit, charitable and educational organization. The services we provide follow a 150-year healing tradition as practiced by Kardec Spiritist healers in Brazil. In this approach, energy medicine techniques are combined with spiritual training in order to promote healing and enrichment of body, mind, and spirit. At the heart of our activities is the beautiful philosophy of Kardec Spiritism with its message of compassion, love, and service. Resident and guest workshops provide a compelling array of opportunities for personal growth, and our weekly gathering and special events provide opportunities for building friendships and community.
