November Highlights
- CARITAS COMMUNITY BENEFIT DINNER: Come one and all to our second benefit dinner, being held at Cheers Asian Cuisine where they serve scrumptious Nepali and Indian food! The restaurant is in the Diagonal Plaza Mall, 2850 Iris Ave., Boulder. This fundraising event was originally scheduled for October. Support Caritas while enjoying a delicious buffet dinner with friends. Reservations required for this event. Call 303-449-3066 to make yours.
Saturday, Nov. 1, 6 PM. $25. Children under 12: $10. - In November, the theme for our Exploring Spirit weekly gatherings is Edgar Cayce: the Sleeping Medium. Weekly topics will be as follows:
- 1. Monday, Nov. 3: We will watch a biographical documentary on the life of Edgar Cayce and discuss it.
- 2. Monday, Nov. 10: Edgar Cayce on Reincarnation
- 3. Monday Nov. 17: Edgar Cayce’s Prophecies
- 4. Monday, Nov. 24: Edgar Cayce the Healer
- Exploring Spirit takes place every Monday from 6 to 7:30 PM, and is open to all. It consists of a brief introduction of the weekly topic, open discussion, followed by cleansing passes administered by the healing staff. Refreshments are served after the gathering. Take advantage of this opportunity to build continuity, depth and community as you enrich your personal spiritual journey. This weekly gathering is open to all and always FREE.
- Tai Chi Class: Greg Adelman teaches a weekly, drop-in class in which students learn:
- The first 3rd of the Chen Man Ching’s Short Form
- Warm up and breathing exercises
- Qi Gong exercises
- Introduction to Push Hands (interactive Tai Chi)
- Healing in Japanese, Esoteric Buddhism and Shinto Traditions: Psychiatrist Kenjiro Tsubono M.D.(Japan), Th.D. candidate (Holos University), will introduce the Japanese healer, Jiho Otsuki (an official Buddhist monk and Shinto priest) and present the concept of spiritual healing in Japanese esoteric Buddhist and Shinto traditions. The healer will lead a meditation and demonstrate his healing work, providing contact (or non-contact) healing to all participants. Thursday, Nov. 6, 7 – 9 PM. $20 donation.
- The Underlying Culprit in Chronic Pain: Join Dr. Jacob Hans for this "Eye Opening" workshop. Dr. Hans has been treating the most difficult cases of chronic pain for 15 years with remarkable success. Your body is your connection to your mind, emotions, and your soul. - Basics of Intuitive Tarot: This course offers not only a basic understanding of a Tarot deck, but how to use it as a tool for accessing the Intuitive Higher Self when seeking the best possible direction regarding life’s challenges and choices. Study with Phebe, an Intuitive Tarot Reader with over 35 years of professional experience, including the resident Reader at Spirit Ways Metaphysical Shop in Denver, since 1999. 4-month course will meet Wednesdays, 1 – 3 PM, beginning Nov. 12 and ending April 1.
$10 to register; $30 per class, includes course book and study materials. - Journey with John of God: with Joy Patten, D.C. John of God is unquestionably one of the world's most powerful spiritual healers living today. People seek him out for all sorts of ailments, from cancer, paralysis, MS and muscular dystrophy, to asthma, allergies, and arthritis. Dr. Joy will share some of the beautiful & inspiring experiences that she has had at the Casa with John of God, and continues to have, through her work with the Crystal Light Bath and her connection with the "entities" of John of God. - Healing Movements of the Soul – a workshop in Systemic Constellations with Elmar Dornberger. Relatively new to the U.S., this unique approach to inner transformation is being widely used in Europe over the past 30 years. The process focuses on honoring “what is” in all the facets of our lives, particularly the troublesome areas. Amazing insights surface from the group dynamic of the Constellations process! - A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle is the subject of a weekly drop-in study group. This profoundly spiritual work is sure to spark new insights and personal discoveries as we read and discuss it together. Every Thursday, 5:30 - 7 PM. $5 donation
- Munay-Ki: Energy Rites of the Peruvian Q’ero: Christine Hart, a Board Certified Family Physician, is engaged in the healing ways of Incan Shaman. After receiving the powerful Munay-Ki from Peruvian Q’ero she was admonished to share these energetic transmissions with others. These rites pass information from person to person and raise humans’ energetic state. After receiving them you will be able to transmit them to others. This is a workshop in four weekly sessions, beginning Tuesday, Nov. 18, 7:30 – 9:30 PM for 4 consecutive Tuesdays, ending on Oct.28. $200 for all four sessions.
